Introduction
Having issues with your KBS3 keyboard then you should go through this guide to help diagnose any issues.

Make sure the keyboard is powered, if none of the lights are on then check the cable between the dvr and the keyboard.

if the cables are plugged in correctly and it is still not working then try using a different 485-bus port and if that did not fix the issue then either the keyboard, cable or the dvr are at fault.

Replacement keyboards are on ebay for about £30-40 they are used but most of them work just fine.
